Weight Loss

July 19, 2011

I'm very proud of myself so far, until this past weekend.  My weigh in days are Thursdays, but with the cakes that I had due, I ended up eating a bunch of cake over the weekend.  We will see come Thursday if the cake helped at all (I doubt it did).  I'm back under 150 pounds at 149.7, I know, barely at all.  But one of my goals was to be under 150 by the time I left for Missouri, and I don't leave until the 3rd of August.  I really hope I lost weight this week, but I highly doubt it.

When I started this page, I thought I was going to be able to do separate posts like on the blog, but I guess I can't, so I'll just be adding to the original post.  Let me just say, that I don't like Spark People...it is not user friendly, at least not for this user *points to self*!  After 2 months of being stuck at 157.9 and working out 5 days a week, I gave up on Jillian and payed the money for Weigh Watchers.  I have officially been on WW for 2 weeks now, and I've lost 3.7 lbs!!  I'm going to focus on WW for a few months and then add the working out back in (that's what I did before the pregnancy).  I love WW, I love the new Points Plus Program, and I'm excited for the continued weight loss!

At my 6 week postpartum doctors appointment, I was approved to start working out again, so I started last week with Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred, this is the workout that I did before getting pregnant, and it worked quite well.  I would ideally like to use Weight Watchers to track my calorie intake (I love the points system, and I know it works for me), but I can't afford to use their program, so I will be using the free online program, Spark People to track calorie intake. The good thing is they have an app for my iPhone, so I can track even when I'm not at home. My plan is to be weighing in every week, and tracking my weight with a progress update once a month on here, and keeping you up to date on my weight loss journey to get this baby weight off.  To start out, I was 138 when I got pregnant, and got up to 185, that's a 47 pound weight gain, which is WAY too much.  As of today I am 160.2, and my weigh in day will be every Monday.  I'm hoping to measure myself this week, so I can post measurements up as well.  I'm hoping you all can help keep me accountable, and maybe someday, I can serve as an inspiration to some.  Here's the first day of my graph, and hopefully that dot will go down a little bit for next Monday!!
